Groundnut Cold Pressed Oil
Pure Groundnut Oil, Traditionally Cold Pressed – Single Extraction Only
Ingredients and source and popularity of the grain
Our Groundnut Cold Pressed Oil is made using carefully selected native groundnuts traditionally used across Indian households for everyday cooking. We extract our oil using a single-press method and do not repeatedly process the oil cake for additional extraction, unlike many lower-quality alternatives available in the market.
The groundnuts are sourced through trusted intermediaries from well-known groundnut-growing regions of India like MP and Gujarat, recognised for their oil-rich kernels, clean taste, and consistent quality.
Groundnut oil is widely appreciated for its mild aroma, neutral flavour, and natural cooking stability. Cold pressing helps retain the oil’s natural antioxidants, vitamin E, and healthy fat composition (MUFA-dominant), unlike refined oils that undergo heavy processing and chemical treatment, which strip away nutrition and natural character.
Taste, Color, Texture, flavour and usage instructions
This oil has a mild nutty aroma, clean flavour, and smooth texture. It has a light golden yellow colour and performs exceptionally well at regular Indian cooking temperatures without overpowering food.
Suitable for both traditional and modern cooking. Can be directly heated and used for cooking without the need for smoking, unlike mustard oil.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after use to maintain freshness.
In general, all cold pressed oils in 1 litre measurement will weight less than 1 Kg in weight, it varies from seed to seed. We have indicated the weights in website but due to weather conditions and extraction method there can be change in the weight for a particular volume of the oil.
People wise Suitability
Suitable for everyday household cooking for all age groups. Ideal for families seeking a neutral-tasting, minimally processed oil for daily use. Not positioned for specific medical or therapeutic dietary requirements. Consumption should be based on individual dietary understanding and preference.
Allergen
Contains groundnuts (peanuts).
Processed in a facility that also handles mustard seeds, gluten-containing grains, soya, legumes, and nuts. While there is physical segregation between units, they are not air-locked.
Disclaimer
Natural variations in colour, aroma, and flavour may occur due to seasonal changes in groundnuts. This is a natural characteristic of cold pressed oils.
In some cases, a thin layer of groundnut particles may settle at the bottom of the bottle due to natural sedimentation. This is completely edible and indicates minimal processing and purity. Such settling may occur when sedimentation in storage tanks is not 100% complete due to weather conditions.
Ideal Uses
Ideal for Indian cooking such as sabzis, dals, curries, shallow frying, deep frying, tadkas, and baking. Suitable for daily cooking, festive meals, and recipes requiring a neutral oil base.
Do not reuse the same oil multiple times, as reheating can lead to the formation of undesirable compounds.
Cooking Suitability & Smoke Point Guidance
Cold pressed groundnut oil has a high smoke point (approx. 220–230°C), making it highly suitable for various cooking methods when used correctly.
Deep Frying
Well suited for deep frying due to its high smoke point and stability. Use fresh oil and avoid repeated reuse.
Shallow Frying & Sautéing
Ideal for shallow frying, sautéing, and everyday cooking. Maintains flavour stability under medium to high heat.
Tadka / Tempering
Works well for tadkas where a neutral oil is preferred to let spices shine.
Raw Use / Dressing
Can be used in small quantities for dressings, but primarily recommended for cooked applications.

Cold Pressed Oil, Wood pressed oils vs Refined Oil – What’s the Real Difference?
1. Extraction Method
Cold Pressed Oils (Chakki Peesing)
Cold pressed oils are extracted at controlled low temperatures using mechanical pressure only. This process avoids excessive heat and chemical intervention, helping preserve the oil’s natural fatty acid structure, antioxidants, and flavour. At Chakki Peesing, we follow a single-press method—the oil is extracted once from fresh seeds, and the remaining oil cake is not reused for further extraction.
Wood pressed Oils (other competition)
While Wood-pressed is also a method of cold pressing, but we see some advantage of our SS based machines over wood pressed. Wood-pressed oils can suffer from poor temperature control, hygiene challenges, inconsistent quality, and higher oxidation risk due to porous wooden surfaces and manual operation. Well-controlled metallic cold-press machines offer better temperature regulation, food safety, consistency, and nutritional stability, especially for single-press, small-batch oils.
Refined Oils
Refined oils are produced using high heat, chemical solvents, bleaching agents, and deodorisation processes to maximise yield and uniformity. These steps significantly alter the oil’s natural composition and strip away many naturally occurring nutrients.
2. Fat Profile: MUFA & PUFA Explained
Cold pressed groundnut oil is naturally rich in MUFA and contains balanced PUFA.
MUFA (Monounsaturated Fatty Acids):
Supports heart health by helping maintain healthier cholesterol balance when consumed as part of a balanced diet.
PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids):
Provides essential fatty acids important for metabolic and cellular functions.
Cold pressing preserves this natural fat balance, unlike refined oils where processing can damage fat structures.
3. Cholesterol & Fat Quality
Cold pressed oils:
-
Contain no added trans fats
-
Avoid hydrogenation and chemical modification
-
Support better dietary fat quality when used in moderation
Refined oils may contain oxidized fats due to high-temperature processing.
Note: No oil reduces cholesterol on its own. Benefits depend on overall diet and lifestyle.
4. Single Press vs Multiple Extraction
At Chakki Peesing:
-
Oil is extracted once
-
Oil cake is not reprocessed
-
Ensures better purity, flavour, and nutritional integrity
Multiple extraction methods prioritise yield over quality.
5. Taste & Cooking Behaviour
Cold pressed groundnut oil retains its natural mild flavour and aroma, making it versatile for everyday cooking. Refined oils are neutralised, losing nutritional depth and natural character.
