Sesame Cold Pressed Oil
Pure Sesame (Til) Oil, Traditionally Cold Pressed – Single Extraction Only
Ingredients and source and popularity of the grain
Our Sesame Cold Pressed Oil is made using carefully selected native sesame seeds (til) that have been an integral part of Indian cooking and traditional diets for centuries. We extract our oil using a single-press method and do not repeatedly process the oil cake for additional extraction, unlike many lower-quality alternatives available in the market.
The sesame seeds are sourced through trusted intermediaries from traditional sesame-growing regions of India such as Rajasthan and Madhya , known for producing oil-rich seeds with strong aroma and stable oil quality.
Sesame oil is highly valued for its distinct nutty aroma, warming nature, and natural antioxidant content, especially sesamol and sesamin. Cold pressing helps retain these natural compounds along with essential fatty acids (MUFA & PUFA), unlike refined oils that undergo heavy processing and chemical treatment, which strip away nutrition and natural character.
Taste, Color, Texture, flavour and usage instructions
This oil has a distinct nutty aroma, rich flavour, and smooth texture. It has a golden to light amber colour and performs best at low to medium cooking temperatures.
Sesame oil is flavour-forward and should be used in moderation. It enhances dishes rather than acting as a neutral base oil. Best results are achieved when used for tempering, finishing, or low-heat cooking.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after use to maintain freshness.
In general, all cold pressed oils in 1 litre measurement will weight less than 1 Kg in weight, it varies from seed to seed. We have indicated the weights in website but due to weather conditions and extraction method there can be change in the weight for a particular volume of the oil.
People wise Suitability
Suitable for everyday cooking in small quantities for all age groups. Especially preferred by people who enjoy traditional, aromatic oils and cuisines where sesame oil is a core flavour. Not positioned for specific medical or therapeutic dietary requirements. Consumption should be based on individual dietary understanding and preference.
Allergen
Contains sesame seeds.
Processed in a facility that also handles mustard seeds, groundnuts, gluten-containing grains, soya, legumes, and nuts. While there is physical segregation between units, they are not air-locked.
Disclaimer
Natural variations in color, aroma, and flavor may occur due to seasonal changes in sesame seeds. This is a natural characteristic of cold pressed oils.
In some cases, a thin layer of sesame particles may settle at the bottom of the bottle due to natural sedimentation. This is completely edible and indicates minimal processing and purity. Such settling may occur when sedimentation in storage tanks is not 100% complete due to weather conditions.
Sometimes you will see a froth in sesame oil while heating, this is completely normal as this is due to the moisture locked in the seeds, In cold pressed oils since oil is extracted at room temperature, moisture can remain locked due to weather conditions.

Cold Pressed Oil vs Refined Oil – What’s the Real Difference?
1. Extraction Method
Cold Pressed Oils (Chakki Peesing)
Extracted at controlled low temperatures using mechanical pressure only. Single-press extraction ensures the oil is taken once from fresh sesame seeds, and the oil cake is not reused.
Wood pressed Oils (other competition)
Wood-pressed oils may face challenges with temperature control, hygiene, oxidation risk, and batch inconsistency due to porous wooden surfaces and manual operation.
Refined Oils
Produced using high heat, chemical solvents, bleaching agents, and deodorisation, significantly altering the oil’s natural composition.
2. Fat Profile: MUFA & PUFA Explained
Cold pressed sesame oil contains a balanced mix of MUFA and PUFA, along with natural antioxidants like sesamol.
-
MUFA (Monounsaturated Fatty Acids): Supports heart health and fat metabolism
-
PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids): Provides essential fatty acids for cell function
Cold pressing preserves this balance, unlike refined oils.
3. Cholesterol & Fat Quality
Cold pressed oils:
-
Contain no added trans fats
-
Avoid hydrogenation and chemical modification
-
Support better dietary fat quality when used in moderation
Note: No oil reduces cholesterol on its own. Benefits depend on overall diet and lifestyle.
4. Single Press vs Multiple Extraction
At Chakki Peesing:
-
Oil is extracted once
-
Oil cake is not reprocessed
-
Ensures better purity, aroma, and nutritional integrity
5. Taste & Cooking Behaviour
Cold pressed sesame oil retains its distinct aroma and warming character, making it ideal for traditional and regional cuisines. Refined oils are neutralised and lack depth.
